Dolní Lhota (Dolni Lhota)
Zkameněliny pochází z bývalého lomu na jižní straně kopce Kešůvka poblíž obce Dolní Lhota u Blanska. Někdy kolem roku 1988 došlo v západní části lomu u areálu střelnice ke zřícení části stěny. V sesuvu byly hlavně narezavělé spodnoturonské opuky bělohorského souvrství, které jsou v profilu dobře patrné nad cenomanskými pískovci. Tyto horniny vydaly hojnou makrofaunu, především ježovky a mlže. Bohužel dnes je tato část lomu zcela zarostlá a pravděpodobnost nového nálezu je velmi nízká...
The fossils come from a former quarry on the southern side of the Kešůvka hill near the village of Dolní Lhota near Blansko. Sometime around 1988, a part of the quarry wall collapsed in the western part of the quarry near the shooting range. The landslide uncovered beige lower Turonian spongilites which are visible above light Cenomanian sandstones in the photo below. These rocks yielded abundant macrofauna, especially sea urchins and bivalves. Unfortunately, today this part of the quarry is completely covered with vegetation and new finds are quite unlikely...
